Hang on a gtx 580 gets 49fps on mafia 2 and gets a C
My low budget pc gets 67fps on mafia 2 an gets a B
I have a gts 250 512m on its own no sli or physx cards
I was gonna upgrade to something like a gtx 570 but why should i bother ?

Is the intel cpu cooler enough for the i5 750 (not overclocked)?

Hi linus, im actually thinking of buying this desktop
was wondering its good time to buy a new gaming pc this time around
should i wait until new line of graphic card or cpu comes out or just get it now?
also is it better to price match and get better components and build it myself or just get this package? PS. ive got no experience in building computers but would like to try. and have done some research.

@Ascension1231 Yup. I turn everything on and run at FULL HD resolution. With everything turned off I wonder what I would get? WHat are your settings?

I hate NVIDIA

@ji3200 If it has support for it, it should, if it doesn’t you might have to disable one card.
ji3200 on May 30, 2011 at 12:34 pm
@roflschofel does sli works on all pc games??
TJae1 on May 30, 2011 at 1:24 pm
SLI makes or breaks ~ yeah ?

I’ve been thing about adding a Nvidia card for PhysX support. Too bad There are no good valuecards right now(the 460 is too expensive for some effects) to add to my 2 5870s. I would love to see this become available to ATI aswell myself.
auron508 on May 30, 2011 at 2:11 pm
I own a GTX 470. Let me say, all PhysX is is extra particle effects and some cloth effects. I have a few games that uses it and I never use it. I have Mafia 2 sitting in my game queue (Just finished Metro) and I plan on leaving PhysX off. I will say however that whether you’re nVidia or ATI, you MUST give nVidia props for having a hand in this game else it would not have been on the PC.
We’re all part of the PC gaming community. Instead of fanboy wars, we need to get along
larlar752000 on May 30, 2011 at 2:45 pm
All of you fanboys need to shut it already! Nvidia has Physx and other tech that the ATi cards don’t have so thats why they get better FPS got it?

Dual 470′s get around 45 on my 4.1 i7. Hopefully they will optimize things a lot more when the game is let out of the cage, thats ridiculously not cool. Game looks amazing though

@RadeonFTW lol GTX 460 SLI fail..
My single GTX 275 gives 25 fps average at HD resolution.. so Whats the big deal here.
RadeonFTW on May 30, 2011 at 4:46 pm
@CJ2GAME He had about 30fps average – he’ll be advised to lower his settings to make the game run smoother
CapitalGamer on May 30, 2011 at 5:38 pm
@SilentSandwich lol no, the 260 is not better than the 5770, they have almost the same performance and it doesn’t have DX11, that card is a joke. I run DX11 games easily, I max Dirt 2, with full AA at 1080p with 40fps+. I max BFBC2 with full AA at even more fps. I know the card better than you because I have it so don’t go around saying it’s useless at DX11 and gets only 2fps. No gamer should ever buy last gen cards with last gen API’s, they are cheap for a reason.
SilentSandwich on May 30, 2011 at 5:44 pm
@CapitalGamer
4890 is a more powerful card, comes under the same price bracket. The only disadvantage is the fact that it lacks DX11, and produces slightly more heat. But DX11 on a 5770 is useless, because you get about 2fps, so the only difference is heat (and power).
Also, in certain stores, the GTX 260 has dropped price greatly, and this also outperforms the 5770, and has the same disadvantages as the 4890.
However, it is slower.
CJ2GAME on May 30, 2011 at 6:44 pm
what is the benchmark result ???
CapitalGamer on May 30, 2011 at 7:25 pm
@SilentSandwich What better alternatives are there now? The 460 which came out close to a year later and costs more?
SilentSandwich on May 30, 2011 at 7:41 pm
@jayjjj3
Even if you don’t want to OC your CPU, you’re going to OC your GPU, and a GTX460 OC’d beats the 5850 in most cases, and beats both the 5830 OC and 5770 OC.
