CGR Undertow – MAFIA II for Xbox 360 Video Game Review
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of MAFIA II, from 2K Games, for the Xbox 360. MAFIA II is a third-person shooter/action-adventure game that delves in world of organized crime in the ’40s and ’50s. The game follows Vito Scaletta as he returns from war and tries to find some “honest work”. However, with a title like MAFIA II, you know it is going to take some interesting and not so legal turns. This is not a direct sequel to the first Mafia game, aside from a few cameos. This CGR Undertow video game review features MAFIA II video gameplay footage and commentary. MAFIA II was reviewed by CGR reviewer Ray.

Really? Doesn’t Ray write his own reviews? I thought that’s how it worked here. Swear to God, he mispronounces “plethora” in every review. Every last one. I don’t think I’ve ever heard him not do it. Derek at least uses “inherent” correctly & once in a while you hear a review w/o it. I think he does it intentionally. It really seems like he’d have been corrected by someone by now. It seems like he does it on purpose. I don’t know. He seems to emphasize “PlethORa.”

I bought this full price and I lobed every second of it the story sucked me in more than mass effect 2 (which I also love)

Those complaining about having a large city with nothing to do, I’m guessing they’re missing the point. The large city is just there to give a sense of scope. Not every game made has to have countless side missions, collectable items, etc. I for one prefer straightforward, plot driven games rather than those like the GTAs and RPGs that have pointless, endless, padded out, cookie-cut out extras thrown in. Give me an intense 10hr experience over a boring 50hr one any day.

they shuold do a new review of this game with all the DLCs because there is a new one thats only 40$ and it has all the DLCs for free and i have spent so far well over 50 hours in it and i still didnt get all the trophys or get bored of it
SO ITS WELL WORTH A BUY ITS A GOOD DEAL YOU SAVE 20$ ON THE GAME AND A EXTRA 30$ ON DLCs SO FOR 40$ YOU GET A GAME THAT WAS 90$ A FEW WEEKS AGO
BUT MAKE SURE YOU BUY IT NEW TO GET THE DLCs

mafia 2 actually has a few connections to the first one…in the erlier 40′s in the empire classic radio it plays some of the musics from mafia 1…and one of the last missons is actually the last part of mafia 1 where tommy d’angelo gets killed by to guys because of betraying salieri…well those 2 guys is you and joe who actually get a contract hit for some cash from your boss whose got that request from a “couple of friends” from Lost heaven(mafia 1 city)
